Second largest city and capital of Turkey, Ankara was the location of the annual technology seminar organized by CDT, our newly appointed distributor for the region.
Ankara is located at the heart of the Anatolian plateau in central Turkey, about 1 hour flight from Istanbul. With 4 million habitants, Ankara is a fast growing city, new constructions popping everywhere. As capital of the country, Ankara is also the location for many of the largest Turkish companies, especially the ones dealing with government authorities.
Hold at the Rixos Grand Ankara hotel in the center of the city, the seminar was a great success, with about 250 attendees. There were 7 technology tracks in parallel, covering PCB design, IC design, simulation, cabling, safety critical methodologies, test, verification and various tools and technologies involved in hardware development.
It has also been the opportunity for formal launch of Optymo in Turkey, introducing our solution to some of the major companies.
CDT made a fantastic job in organizing this technology day, which was then followed by 2 days of technical workshops. Attendees’ feedback has been very positive, both on the organization and the quality of presentations.
The seminar has also been the time for CDT to launch a new initiative called CADET (for Computer Aided Design and Electronic Technology), a web platform where Turkish engineers could find information and news on the Industry, new products or technologies.
The schedule was dense, so didn’t leave much time to enjoy and visit Ankara, but CDT had organized dinners for the presenters every evening, opportunities to taste delicious Turkish cooking and meet with partners.
