Optymo comes with a powerful yet intuitive API that allows the user to quickly create reports and extensions for every aspects of your business.
Optymo contains a powerful report manager, allowing data to be extracted from the database and presenting it in a functional manner for further analysis and improvement.
Using its unique IP Agents feature, Optymo users can develop their own extensions in any preferred language, expanding the way they leverage Optymo content. Optional modules developed by INLYNK provide a prebuilt interface for accounting software, PCB tools or other databases.

Inlynk designed Optymo’s Report Manager to be an intuitive, user-friendly, powerful tool that allows to quickly create detailed reports for every aspects of your business. It provides a quick method to search for the information required.
The report’s module is contextual and propose predefined reports pertinent to the actual environment. It allows the users to quickly find the report necessary to gather the data they want.
It supports drag/drop as well as cut and paste into active Optymo windows and other Windows applications.
Optymo comes with a unique API. Through it, any external application can send data to Optymo or extract data for a specific use. When the data must be shared between two applications, the open API is an opportunity to minimize labor-intensive manual processes and therefore eliminates error prone “Re-Keying” entries.
The API offers our users the ability to develop, in any programming language, an IP agent that adds additional functionality to the solution.
The API runs in the background, in real-time, tracking events and information that need to be communicated. The communication through the API ensures the integrity of the information shared by multiple applications.
INLYNK Software offers assistance to the development of IP Agents through its Professional Services.

Optymo integrates a relational database that is specifically designed to guarantee flexibility, performance and security while offering a simple user interface.
Flexibility
In Optymo data is stored in a “tree” architecture and can be classified by categories which allow for precise component management and increased flexibility. Working in Optymo you can easily create new fields in order to manage any type of data, including multimedia data. You can also access the database through the Internet using a simple TCP/IP link layer.
Performance
Data access performance (query speed, report generation speed, database access speed) is remarkable, whether it is for the stand-alone configuration or the client/server network configuration. In the client/server mode, any data update that is validated by a workstation is passed on to all the others in real-time.
Security
The system is designed so that the database integrity is always guaranteed, even when the computer breaks down during a back-up. Data access is controlled thanks to user profiles definition. Data sharing protocol, based upon a client/server structure, make the workstations independent of the server: they don’t need to share any disk space.
